Growing up in the northern part of the Netherlands animals of all kinds were around but dogs were always at the top of my list.
After living in several countries in Europe l made the move across the pond and landed in California.
The San Francisco Bay Area became my home away from home. Enjoying a career in finance, the great outdoorsy lifestyle, and all the wonderful things the West Coast had to offer, I thought I would never leave!
But after 15 years of West Coast living I had the chance to move to New York City. I felt incredibly lucky to live in this great city and to get to know the East Coast as well!
After 18 years in the U.S. I moved back to Europe. The time I've spent in America has made a lasting imprint and has influenced my life in so many positive ways. I think back on those days with immense gratitude and with great joy.

At GOOD DOG WALKS dogs can be themselves. As a certified Natural Dog Trainer I'm able to ensure your dog has the time of his life on a solo walk adventure, safely and stress-free, out sniffing and exploring.
When there's not always time for a nice long walk with your furry friend, when you're out all day or you need to stay late at work. That's where GOOD DOG WALKS comes in.

The walks are fully tailored to suit the needs of your dog. At GOOD DOG WALKS our main goal is to make each walk the highlight of your dog's day, so you come home to a happy, tired and fullfilled dog.

The Walks
Medium Walk
Together we go for a great hike in a dog-friendly nature area, like in the dunes, the woods or on the beach.
With plenty of excercise and lots of time for sniffing and exploring, your dog will have the time of his life!
Back home there's time for cuddling and sniffing games. We make sure your dog is calm and relaxed when we leave your house.

Large Walk
Leaving your dog home alone is never easy, but now you can make sure your dog has a fun day too!
With the Large Walk we keep your dog company for 2 hours.
Together we go for a great hike in a dog-friendly nature area, like in the dunes, the woods or on the beach.
With plenty of excercise and lots of time for sniffing and exploring, your dog will have the time of his life!
Back home there's time for cuddling, sniffing games and relaxing.
Before we leave, we go out for a final bathroom break so your dog is happy and ready to get some well deserved rest.

I grew up in the northern part of the country and moved abroad at a young age. After living in the United States, where I enjoyed a career in finance, my path led me back,18 years later, to the Netherlands.

When we adopted our first, Spanish, dog Layla, I started researching how to best live a relaxed and enjoyable life together.
With the arrival of our second dog, Rufo, who spent 5 years in a shelter in Spain, I signed up for the course
Natural Dog Trainer. This one year program is based on the teachings of Norwegian dog behaviorist Turid Rugaas. (http://en.turid-rugaas.no/who-is-turid-rugaas.html)
Turid Rugaas is known worldwide for her progressive and natural approach to interacting with dogs. The skills I've learned in this course have helped Rufo, and us, immensely.

Seeing dogs have the best time in the great outdoors, that is, to me, one of the greatest joys in life!
With love and care I make great effort to cater to each dog’s needs and desires. By understanding their unique personality, likes and dislikes, I'm able to make sure that every walk with me is the highlight of your dog's day!
